Hi, I'm Yonatan Cherbakoof (jony) , and I've been running independent businesses since 2001, starting out in the retail industry. In 2013, I co-founded Renacer Tours, a travel agency specializing in organized pilgrimage groups tours.
Over the past decade, we've proudly served more than 8,000 travelers each year, focusing on group experiences with care, passion, and attention to detail.
With over a decade of experience in the tourism industry, I can confidently say: tourism is my passion. I truly believe in the power of travel to connect people, inspire minds, and create lasting memories. That belief is what drives me every day. I’ve developed a deep understanding of what makes a journey truly unforgettable — and I’m bringing that same dedication and love for travel to our new project here in Panama.
I’m 45 years old, happily married, and a proud father of two amazing girls. I live in beautiful Playa Venao, where I enjoy the simple pleasures of life — surfing, kite surfing, and connecting with people from all over the world.
Together with my partner, who brings years of international business expertise, we’ve created Montemar Tours, with a mission to welcome travelers to Panama and help them discover its hidden gems, stunning nature, and vibrant culture
Amit, my partner in this journey, brings a unique energy to Montemar. With a background in international business and years of experience in sales, hospitality, and entrepreneurship, he followed his heart from big-city life to the raw beauty of Playa Venao. What started as a surf trip turned into something much bigger — a life rooted in nature, adventure, and community.
Amit is the kind of person who makes people feel instantly at home. He’s deeply connected to the local vibe, often barefoot, with sandy hair and a welcoming smile. Whether he’s organizing a multi-day surf retreat, coordinating a whale-watching tour, or sharing a sunset with new friends, he brings authenticity and care to every detail.
He runs the day-to-day operations of Montemar Tours on the ground in Venao — building partnerships, hosting guests, and making sure every traveler walks away with a story worth telling. His love for the ocean and people is the heartbeat of this project, and it shows in everything we do.
